Renewing your items

If you wish to keep Books after they are due back, and no-one else is waiting for them, please renew them.

You can renew items 5 times (not DVDs) before we need to see them.

If you can’t get to your library you can renew books online using your library card and PIN number. Go to the ‘My Account’ page to log in, or click the “Renew my Books” link below (login required):

Renew my Books (link to My Account Login)

Reached your renewal limit, or your item is on hold for someone and can’t renew online? You can telephone us during your libraries opening hours.

Requests

You can place a hold on any book, whether it is available in the library or not, and we will try to obtain it for you.

Holds where items are “in stock” on the Leicestershire & Rutland library catalogue are FREE.

Requests for DVDs and Talking Books (whether they are on on our catalogue or not), are FREE.

Requests for eBooks and eAudio are also FREE, though please note that due to publisher licensing restrictions some authors and titles are not available to us as they would be with printed items. We do not guarantee to purchase every request ,whether it is available for us to purchase or not.

Other holds including Inter-Library Loan and British Library holds may incur a charge.

You can place a hold on any book on this library catalogue online, by using your library card and PIN number. Or, you can reserve any book at any Rutland library, in person, by phone or by email. Our Inter Library Loans service enables us to look nationwide.
